Many, many thanks are in order for Mayor Hays and all Members of the North Little Rock City Council for
appropriating the funds needed to purchase this badly needed pumper for the North Little Rock Fire Department.
This 2004 Pierce Pumper will be assigned to Station 3 at 15th and Schaer. The 1992 Pierce at Station 3 will go to
Station 4, and the 1987 Pierce from Station 4 will become a reserve pumper. A 1976 International will be sold
and for the first time in the NLRFD'S history there will not be at least one pumper in the department where
firefighters must ride the rear tailboard to get to a emergency.
