The North Little Rock Fire Department's Fire Boat - The "J.W. Springer II"
"The J.W. Springer II" is pictured in the photos below. The Rescue Boat was named for the Late Chief
Wesley Springer, who gave 47 years of service to the NLRFD! The J.W. Springer II is manned by
Central Station. The J.W. Springer also has the ability for rescues in the Arkansas River,
should the need arise.
