Welcome to Photos of the Little Rock Fire Department Apparatus and Stations Retired L.R.F.D. Apparatus and Stations
L.R.F.D. Retired Apparatus and Stations LRFD Engine 3 Circa 1975 At this point Engine 3 was operating on a Boardman pumper
with a Ford chassis - either a 1969 or 1970 model. The LRFD had
4 Boardman pumpers with a Ford chassis. This was the first of
the four. It had hard suction hoses mounted on the left side of
the body. The other three Ford/ Boardman pumpers had high
side pockets on the left side of the body. This pumper was
replaced by another Boardman in 1979! The 1979 was on an International Chassis, and was painted
yellow. The 1979 Engine 3
never went to reserve service. It was sold as soon as Engine 9's 1983 Mack became Engine 3.
