L.R.F.D. Retired Apparatus and Stations Engine 9 - When Station 9 was at the Little Rock Airport
This apparatus was a 1977 IH/ Boardman 1000 GPM Pumper.
Engine 9 was relocated to new Station 9 on Shackleford Road in
1983. The new Station 9 was dedicated on July 16, 1983. A new
1983 Mack Pumper became Engine 9.
July 31, 1983 was the grand opening of the now reactivated
Station 19 on Chicot Road. (Station 19 on Dixon Road was decommissioned in 1977 or 1978)
The 1977 Boardman - former Engine 9 - was 'back in business'
as Engine 19's new pumper. While assigned Engine 19 on Chicot,
the pumper was repainted red through the program in the
Arkansas Prison System.
