This 1976 International/ American LaFrance 1000 GPM pumper was one of three delivered to the N.L.R.F.D. in August, 1976.
It was the last of the three identical pumpers to remain on the
N.L.R.F.D. roster. This pumper was sold at the North Little Rock City
Auction in the Fall of 2004. It was Engine 9 for its entire life of
"Front Line Service." It was Standby Engine 101, and its last assignment
was Standby Engine 103. This pumper went in service in
early 1977, and was the First Engine 9 in the North Little Rock Fire Department.
This pumper was the last apparatus on roster in the
North Little Rock Fire Department on which firefighters had to ride the tailboard.
The retirement of this pumper marked the first time
in the Department's history in which all fire apparatus had seats for all firefighters to ride in.
