1976 International/ American La France Pumper "B"
Of The N.L.R.F.D. (The second of three identical pumpers.)

The 1976 International/American La France which went in service in the Fall of 1976 at Station 4. (Old Station 4 at
Rose City) This was one of three identical pumpers delivered to NLR by American La France, along with the
Snorkle Truck. All of the apparatus was desperately needed, replacing equipment from 20-27 years old. This engine
replaced the '55 Seagrave, which became the first-out reserve engine at Central. The International stayed here at
Station 4, until the Station was closed in 1992 as part of a reorganization. It then became the first out reserve pumper at
Central. A new fire station on Maumelle Blvd then became "Station 4," with the '78 Ford/Pierce running as Engine 4.

The photo above was made sometime between May 15th and May 30th (2002). This was the last assignment for this Engine,
as Reserve Engine 102. It was filling in for Engine 10'S '85 Seagrave. This pumper had its title of ownership transfered to the
Arkansas Fire Academy by the NLR City Council on July 22, 2002. The Fire Academy, where NLRFD Fire Fighters are trained,
took possession of the pumper on August 8, 2002 at a special ceremony at NLRFD Central Station.
