1942 MACK PUMPER OF THE N.L.R.F.D.

North Little Rock "inherited" a pumper, a 1942 Mack to be exact, when The Maumelle Annexation took
place in the 1960's.  This pumper was a reserve for several years and sat at the Amboy Fire Station along with
the 1961 International.  It was purchased by Bobby Franklin by sealed bid.  LRFD Captain Franklin tells me
that the Mack did see service while other pumpers were being repaired.  He remembers the truck filling in for
Engine 3.  Captain Franklin sold the truck to a small town in South Arkansas. Capt. Franklin allowed me to make
this photo in 1976 or 1977.
