Incident on December 28, 2005

A structure fire occured on December 28, 2005 in the early afternoon at the Northwest Corner of Washington Avenue and Buckeye
Street. The house was completely involved when the N.L.R.F.D. arrived on the scene. Engine 2 laid a 5 inch supply line. Three
1 3/4 inch attack lines were put into action from Engine 2 with the crews of apparatus dispatched attacking the fire. The fire
was so hot that companies spotted their trucks away from the involved structure. Battalion 924, Car 942, Engines 1 and 2, Truck 1
and Rescue 1 all responded to the fire. The N.L.R.F.D. Chaplain was also present, as was a representative of the organization
that operates from Old Station 8, furnishing clothing to victims of fires, etc.
