Photos of the Two New Ferrara Ember Custom 1250 GPM Pumpers of the North Little Rock Fire
Department. The two pumpers
arrived at NLRFD Central Station late in the evening of January 28, 2011. These
photos were all made the morning of January 29, 2011. Click on any photo for a larger view.
Engine 6 will be assigned the pumper with Ferrara production number H-4699, and Engine 7 will
be assigned the identical pumper with Ferrara production number 4700. Both pumpers have a
Cummins ISL-400
Diesel engine, an Allison 3000 EVS transmission, Ferrara Ember extended medium
cab with 12" raised roof;
Seating for 4, an extended
front bumper with center storage tray, an EMS
cabinet in cab, David Clark intercom,
left and right side full height rescue compartments,
an extended
depth tailboard compartment; full width
intermediate rear step, ladders/pike poles stored between
tank and high side,
spare SCBA over rear wheels,
a Waterous CS 1250 GPM pump, a top mount pump panel, class 1 Captain pressure governor,
Front jump line,
Double crosslays,
hose bed 2-1/2" preconnect, Deck gun plumbing, Akron 125 GPM foam eductor, 500
gallon poly water
tank with 30 gallon integral foam cell, Whelen Super LED warning lights, Whelen Traffic
Advisor directional bar, Whelen LED
stop/turn/back
up lights, Federal Q2B siren,
On Scene Solutions LED compartment lights, and Whelen Pioneer LED telescopic scene lights.
