5-29-09 Arkansas River Incident

A report of a person in the Arkansas River during the afternoon of May 29, 2009 resulted in the NLRFD, the LRFD, the NLRPD and MEMS all responding to the Launching Area on the North Little Rock side of the Arkansas River. The J.W. Springer of the NLRFD, and a LRFD craft both were launched into the Arkansas River. NLRFD Battalion 924, Engine 1, and Rescue 1, LRFD Rescue 2, Water Rescue 2, Engine 2 and Battalion 2 all responded. At least two units from MEMS, 417 and 954 were on the scene, as well.
