NORTH LITTLE ROCK F.D. FIRE SCENE ASSISTANCE
"Volunteers in the community are reaching out at the fire scene to meet basic needs of basic clothing
and personal hygiene materials." This is the "mission statement" from the brochure of the Fire Scene
Assistance Program. Clothing of various sizes, along with basic hygiene items, are stored and
ready for immediate delivery to the scene of a fire within the city limits of North Little Rock. Volunteers
then deliver the items to the unfortunate victims of a residential fire in North Little Rock.
Jim Roberts, a retired N.L.R.F.D. Driver was the founder of this fine program. He was in charge of the Fire
Scene Assistance Program until the time of his death.
