(From Firehouse.com News:) "An Arkansas firefighter died early this month from complications associated
with surgery performed for a line-of-duty injury suffered more than one year ago. North Little Rock Fire
Department Captain Michael J. Bevans, 59, died on Nov. 6 after going into cardiac arrest, which was the
result of arthroscopic shoulder surgery complications. Bevans strained his left shoulder on June 6, 2004
while loading a patient into an ambulance. Since then, he had been on light duty for the department."
