1961 INTERNATIONAL / CENTRAL PUMPERS (2 Indentical Pumpers) OF THE N.L.R.F.D.

This 1961 International - Central 750 GPM Pumper and its sister engine were the first NLR Pumps to have air brakes.
They both had seating for the hosemen. When this company got its first alarm, there was a BIG surprise.  It took two
minutes to pump up the air, since there was no reserve reservoir. (One was SOON added to both trucks!) The above
engine was assigned to Station 7 from 1961 until 1982.  It was briefly assigned to Station 8.

The sister engine of #7, this pump spent its entire life at NLRFD Station 8, and as a reserve. The '61 International/Central
that was originally Engine 7 is presently owned by an individual in Pottsville, AR.  The '61 International/Central which was
originally Engine 8 (above) is owned by the owner of Kidd's Garage on Rountop Road in NLR.
