of the N.L.R.F.D. in the "before" stage of its refurbishment.
At this point, only the engine has
been repaired. These photos
were taken on June 1, 2005.

The six photos shown below were taken on March 24, 2006. The boat now has a coating of gel coat covering
the entire
surface of the boat that will be in water. Lettering has also been applied. Note that the "A-Frame"
assembly has been
reinstalled, and that it has been painted red. CLICK on any image below for a larger photo.

The photos below were taken on the morning of April 14, 2006 at the Arkansas River. The "M.J. Bevans" was
taken on its
"maiden
voyage" yesterday afternoon. It went on another "test voyage" this morning. The process
of refurbishing a marine
vehicle
purchased from U.S. Government Surplus into a rescue boat for the NLRFD is now complete! |
