Information About Engine 11's 2004 Pierce Contender
When It Was Initially Placed In Service In 2004 AS Engine 3

Station 11 opened on October 16, 2015 with a Grand Opening Featuring several Guest Speakers.
A Pierce 2001 Custom Contender 1250 GPM Pumper that began its career in NLRFD as Engine 9 on June 21, 2002, became the first Engine 11. This pumper on November 9, 2017 was swapped with its "twin," which had been Engine 10. The future Engine 11 was a reserve pumper for a while, and then became Engine 11 on October 16, 2015. This pumper has an interesting background. It was a official Daytona (Florida) Speedway Pumper. Pierce sends a few demos to the Daytona Speedway each year. More were sent to the Olympics in Utah. This pumper was purchased with only a few hundred miles on
the odometer. This pumper was purchased in April 2002. It then became Engine 10 (Engines 9 &
10 were swapped.) Finally, after serving as a reserve for a while, it was a reserve again until the opening of Station 11. On July 5, 2019, former Engine 3 became Engine 11. The firefighters' quarters of Station
11 was built in 1957, according to Pulaski County, AR Tax Records. The Engine Room was built
shortly before Station 11 was opened as a North Little Rock, AR Fire Station.

NEW STATION 11 opened on September 26, 2024. CLICK HERE for details about this new NLRFD Station:
